Cradle or pillows? Same mask, different cushion
The Solo comes two ways. Identical headgear and frame, and the cushions are interchangeable, so you can switch later without buying a second mask.

What you actually notice

Stretches on, no straps to undo
There are no side straps to unclip and pull. The headgear stretches over your head in one movement, which is the reason it is quicker to put on at 2am than anything with buckles.
One touch to set it
Push the cushion towards your face to tighten, pull it forward to loosen. That is the entire adjustment, and it is much harder to overtighten by accident than a strap system.
Cradles under the nose
The cushion rests under your nose rather than going inside your nostrils or over the bridge of your nose. Nothing sits on the bridge, so there is no mark there in the morning.
Nothing across your eyeline
Thin straps run either side of the cushion with no material over the nose or forehead. You can wear glasses and read in bed with it on.
Four sizes, including Wide
Small, Medium, Large and a Wide option that most nasal masks do not offer. The Fit Pack covers the first three, and Wide is ordered separately.
Magnet-free
No magnetic clips, so the implant contraindications that rule out many other masks do not apply. Worth knowing if a magnetic mask has ruled you out before.
Three pieces, nothing fiddly
Frame, headgear, cushion. The short tube and swivel are built into the frame and are not meant to come apart, which means fewer small parts to lose in a hotel room.
Packing it
You are on a travel CPAP site, so here is the part the manufacturer page will never tell you.
- No forehead support and no bulky frame, so this packs down to almost nothing. One of the easier masks to fit alongside a travel machine.
- The frame, short tube and swivel are a single piece and are not meant to be pulled apart. Pack it as it is rather than trying to break it down further.
- Take a spare cushion on a long trip. The cushion is the part that wears, and it is the one thing you cannot improvise a substitute for.
- Pack it in your carry-on with your machine. Most airlines do not count CPAP equipment towards your cabin baggage allowance, though it is worth confirming with yours before you fly.
- AirMini users need the ZephAir adapter. Buy it now rather than discovering it in a hotel room.
